Who We Are
There are many of us working to improve Johns
Island's existing infrastructure and ensure that no new extension
is built to the island until our roads are fixed first. Your next-door
neighbor, your veterinarian, the owner of your favorite restaurant
on Johns Island, and the builder of your new home may have all been
helping.
We are a group of concerned citizens from around the Charleston
region, including members of the Coastal Conservation League and
the Concerned Citizens of the Sea Islands. We believe in fiscal responsibility,
the protecting the beauty of the low country, and honoring our rural
heritage. Our values have brought us together to oppose the I-526
extension over John’s Island and James Island. Join us and be a part
of getting good things done here in the Lowcountry!
It’s easy to do- just click on the tabs to sign our petition, write
your legislator, and join our email list. Then join us to explore
a fresh look at the Mark Clark on January 2nd, 3rd, and 4th.
Just a few of the participating groups are listed below. Please
email us if you would like your group added to the list.
